Lagos — Chief Executive of Wadof Software Consulting, Mr. Wahab Saromi, has decried the poor state of indigenous software developers in the country, blaming their travails on non-patronage of indigenous software on one hand and the attitude of government and her policies on the other hand.
Saromi came full blast to berate government attitude towards Nigerian software developers during his presentation of a paper at the just concluded two day Information and Communications Technology (ICT) seminar organised by the Titans of Tech in Lagos last week.
The annual event was supposed to be a technology event that was designed to make in-roads for the future of Nigeria in the area of converged economy, but turned out to be an event where ordeals of indigenous software developers were recounted.
J2EE: EJB, JSP, Servlets, JSF, JSTL, JCA, JMS, JTA, JNDI, JDBC, JMX, RMI, etc.
Frameworks: Struts, Hibernate, JPA, iBATIS, JBoss AOP, Spring, JSF, AJAX, GWT, YUI, Flex/Flash, JUnit, and Jakarta common libraries.
Integration: Web Services on Axis and WebMethods; as well as the Web Service Standards such as SOAP, WSDL and UDDI.
In 1995 There Were Fewer Than 1,000 Web Development Companies In The United States Alone, But By 2005 There Were Over 30,000 Such Companies.
